You deserve to rest easy at night and wake up feeling refreshed each morning. It may feel like an impossible task, but as it turns out, there are numerous ways we can work to improve our sleep quality at night, as well as help ourselves to fall asleep faster. As a person who suffered from brutal insomnia for nearly my entire life, I can personally vouch for the information I'm sharing below because it truly helped improve not only my quality of rest, but my quality of life.
More than a third of adults in America have reported not getting enough sleep (ideally 7+ hours), which is unfortunately associated with "an increased risk of developing chronic conditions such as obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, and frequent mental distress" according to the CDC.
I am a huge fan of using music to help me maintain a peaceful mental state. On days when I notice anxiety is trying to creep in, or on days when I'm feeling a bit more antsy or frustrated, I like to make sure I'm surrounding myself with things that help me avoid going deeper into anxiety or angry thoughts. Music and aromatherapy help me a TON, so I thought I'd share some of my favorite go-to songs that I love to have on in the background while I meditate or chill. Honestly, I keep a lot of these songs on throughout the day too. It's nice to get a ton of work done while listening to stuff that helps me stay centered and relaxed.
Five Tips for Starting a Podcast
Podcasting is one the best ways to market your brand and get more eyes on your content. If you stream or create YouTube videos you have most the gear you need. Podcasting has been the best tool for introducing new people to my Twitch channel. If you stream you can record episodes live upload the audio to your podcast feed and the video to your YouTube channel. While you're at it take a few clips from each episode and upload it to Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Enough about why you should start one let's talk about how.
I’m a pale, half-Mexican woman, with brown siblings and white parents. After our adoption, (long story, you can read about it in a few weeks), we were living in a predominately white area in the Chicago suburbs. My siblings and I represented probably a quarter of the entire Latinx/Hispanic population at the school, so needless to say, we - but especially my older brother and sister, stood out a lot.
I think it’s a safe assumption at this point to say that I’m sure you’ve heard of apple cider vinegar. Your friends or family might be using it, or you’ve read about how apple cider vinegar is a “super supplement” that gives some pretty crazy health benefits. You have to take all super foods and supplement claims with a grain of salt, because a lot of times these claims can be a bit incredulous, and none of us want to spend any money whatsoever on something that isn’t proven to work.
However, I’m here to tell you that apple cider vinegar is the real deal, and has some serious benefits to offer to improve the functionality of your body and help you be a better version of yourself.

The. Wait. Is Over.
Every nerd’s dream, (including my own) of seeing their favorite Marvel characters team up to fight their most menacing and challenging opponent yet, has finally become a reality with the release of Anthony and Joe Russo’s Avengers: Infinity War.
Lately it feels like because people have a platform for free and easy (also anonymous at times) speech, they believe every fucking thought they have must be shared. Having said that, I'm going to use this platform I created to share why I think everyone needs to just shut the fuck up already about women's attire - both on Twitch and in the real world.
There are only a few phrases that send shivers up peoples spines. “We need to talk...” “Can I give you feedback?” “Anyone want the last slice of pizza?”. All of these can trigger all sorts of anxiety and emotions. My goal throughout this post is to help you with at least two of them (you’re on your own with pizza).
As someone who has struggled almost her entire life with depression, panic disorder, anxiety, insomnia, ADD and more - I want to be able to help others to not feel the way I've felt in the past. I'm not a doctor, but I have been actively working on managing my mental health and have had some great success lately. I want to share some of the ways that I've managed to improve my mental health, and the science I found that backs up the reasons why it's working. Please keep in mind as you read this that I'm not a medical or mental health professional, so this advice should not take the place of you speaking to your own doctor or doing your own research.
Congratulations - you made money as a content creator!

I was so excited when Snaps asked me to be a part of the writing included on her new website. The opportunity to write about adoption to an expanded audience is something I was eager to take part in. That being said, I had *NO* idea what specifically to write about. I didn’t want my first post to be too heavy or negative. At the same time, I didn’t want something that’s just fluffy and feel-good. After several days of thinking about it and talking with my wife (she’s awesome, by the way), I decided on a simple topic based on the questions our family hears most often, both on Twitch and in real life: Five common phrases things every adoptive family hears, that probably don’t come across the way you think they do.
Quite the headline, I know. I’m sure you read that and said, “well, this should be interesting” or “who the [expletive] is this know it all anyways?” Well, don’t take it personally, you shouldn’t anyways because honestly, it just may not be YOUR fault. So who am I anyways? To give you a brief background I am a not a know it all, just someone who has turned a personal obsession into a new opportunity. I didn’t always have a love affair with coffee, I didn’t actually enjoy it until my mid twenties but all it took was one good cup to turn that switch on for me. There was something about this particular cup of coffee that I just couldn’t put a finger on why it was better but it was, drastically. Thus began my deep dive and from that is what eventually led me to starting Kings Coast Coffee Company with some of my best friends and now excellent business partners. So let’s deep dive and explore the top three reasons why your coffee may suck.
As a teenager, I always had really good skin. Never too dry, too oily, but just right. Once adulthood hit, so did my skin. Acne began to begin from stresses of life, pregnancy, and surrounding changes as I moved across the country from Louisiana to California. It’s taken me 6 years of trying out tons of products to find something that works for me. I was always told to invest in my skin care, and after drugstore skincare just not cutting it, I did just that. I invested in me.
